What is the best GPS Logger? I'm looking to buy a GPS Logger but there are so many and so many different reviews about them. I don't want to spend a lot of money and end up with a bad logger. Where can I find a place that reviews many loggers to pick the best one?
Best GPS Data Logger for Geotagging with Canon Eos 450d? I have a Canon EOS 450d and I want a good GPS data logger I can keep in my pocket or bag and use to geotag my photo's. I don't need it for in car navigation or anything like that just geotagging, although I've seen the GlobalSat GH-625 watch which I would be curious to know if thats any good as I do a lot of running. otherwise I've been looking at things like GlobalSat DG-100 or Amod AGL3080 GPS Photo Tracker. Any advice/suggestions would be great.

Looking for a hand held GPS which only needs to display coordinates and work world-wide? I am starting to get into Geo-tagging my pictures and would like to continue. Right now my process is sort of crude due to the fact that I only give the general area of where I might have taken the picture. I am looking for information and suggestions on two things. 1) should I purchase an inexpensive hand held GPS unit which works world-wide and would only needs to display coordinates so that I could tag my pics with those coordinates. or should I buy a gps unit which has the possibility of tracking and then upload the pics and track file to my pc, or just buy a GPS data logger and do it like that. 2) do you know of any inexpensive hardware for my project. the most important things are- worldwide and some how keep track of coordinates so that I can link them to the picture
Are there any GPS loggers for my Symbian Nokia E71? I just came out of court, some guy is harassing me through the legal system and making various accusations like assault I want to be able to cover myself with evidence that could protect me The last court case he won, and I was found guilty of something I didn't do It will be like a personal diary to provide me with an alibi, the police down here are very slow with there investigations and by time they interview me the alleged day the assault took place is long gone (last time it was 6 weeks)
How can I find the way back to my home? I always lose my way when I go shopping myself, how can I avoid such thing happened again. Is a land survey required by law before a logger can come in and collect trees? I own 10 acres of vacant land. The 10 acre property next to mine was recently sold. Through the grapevine I found out that they were going to have a logger come into their property to take out some trees and also cut a 2 track around the perimeter of their property to access the woods. The property line that we share was not surveyed and I'm not exactly sure where it lies, but they already have trees marked to be cut and it looks like the logging company just guessed where the property line is because there are random ribbons tied to tree limbs instead of the surveyors posts with ribbons tied to them. I followed the line of ribbons with my gps and the line was very crooked and obviously not done by a surveyor. I am worried that the logger just saw that my property is vacant land and maybe they are trying to just get in there and get out without anyone noticing so that's why I wanted to know if a proper survey was required. Caoedhen, I do have a property description and I can have a three line survey for almost $3000. The total of the three lines is over 3300 feet and the line in question is the longest of the three and would be the most expensive. You're saying that I should have to pay for a survey to make sure that my neighbors aren't allowing loggers to encroach on my property? How ethical. Why should I have to pay so that loggers don't trespass? The ribbons are not marking trees they want to harvest. The trees they want are clearly marked otherwise
What software use for RS232 instrument to connect to the PC? RS232 is a popular communications protocol for connecting modems and data acquisition devices to computers. RS232 devices can be plugged straight into the computer's serial port (also known as the COM or Comms port). Examples of data acquisition devices include GPS receivers, electronic balances, data loggers, temperature interfaces and other measurement instruments.
Are there any measurement devices which use electromagnetic waves to measure a distance accurately? I need a device which can be, for example, put on the other side of the wall, and on this side of the wall I can read the distance from the device on another device. If the distance changes, then my device can track this movement. I'm looking for a GPS-like system like this, but instead of a GPS logger and a satellite, there are these two devices... They may even work via Bluetooth, or whatever, but they need to be accurate to the millimeter... Does anyone know of such a system? Thanks, Diogo Thanks for the advice, but lasers (ie visible light) cannot penetrate walls, but I need some device using something other than visible light (eg radio) so that i can measure something across a wall. But thanks for the advice! Yes, radar for example, but i cant find any specific radar device which can do the job. Can you?

They did tie the ribbons to the trees, but I am in the trades and they are clearly not surveyor's ribbons because there are no wooden posts put into the ground whatsoever and the line that the ribbons plot out isn't straight by any measure sometimes varying 30 feet out of line from the others. Either way I'm sure they aren't surveyor's ribbons. I also have land description documentation from the township office and I could get a 3 line survey for almost $3000. I just don't feel that I should have to pay the money for a survey when I'm not having anything done to my property and I don't want to have to take my new neighbors to court. I don't even know if they are on my property or not, I just it to be clear and fair to both of us. There were no lender's in either situation. They paid cash and I am in a land contract from the previous owner.

The passage is about the poverty of forest communities caused by the deforestation. Some african populations such as Ngola Baka live with food and medicines that they find in the forest during hunting and gathering excursions. For example, the moabi's fruit is a key component of baka subsistence but this tree is particularly favoured by loggers and so it is disappearing, In spite of this the forest community gives the rights to exploit million of hectars of the territory to logging and mining companies, while cameroon law has stipulated that commercial loggers must consult with local communities and they must help them to establish mechanism to avoid conflicts but this instructions have never been followed. The povery and the mortality are increasing and the european consumer continue to demand wood products very confortable.According to john Nelson the new GPS mapping technologies could help the african population but without the european help the situation can't change Thanks thanks thanks.....sorry for the wrong category
