Can i buy key logger software at a store? Or what is a safe an reliable download?

I want to install a key logger onto my computer but am not willing to put my credit card info onto a unknown website so can i buy one from a store an if so which ones? But if not is there a safe an reliable download from the internet i can use. I am really worried about viruses. Or is there something else i can use to see exactly what is being done on my computer.
