Is Monty Python's Spamalot in Las Vegas relatively clean?

How bad is the language, sexual content, etc. in monty python's spamalot that is playing at the Wynn in Las Vegas?

  1. Clean; a little bit. Nasty and outrageous: a lot. If you find the dark ages funny, you will love it.
  2. I have not yet seen it (I am incidentally seeing the Boston production tomorrow, at which point I can report back) but my understanding is that it is based mostly on the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which while is not recommended for children, I would not call particularly "dirty." [edit] First off, the show last night was FANASTIC. The cast was excellent. That being said, I wouldn't necessarily call it a children's show, although I saw a number of children in the audience. The "s-word" is used with minor frequency, although if I recall correctly that's the worst of the verbal indecency. There is quite a bit of "flipping off/giving the finger" and also some sexual innuendo, including homosexual suggestions. If you're asking if it would be appropriate to bring kids, I think it depends on their age and maturity. I know a few seven year olds who could easily handle it, but also some 12 year olds who could not. Also, since I saw a different production, I can't tell for sure what they may add/cut from the script in Vegas.
  3. A friend of mine just saw it and said that it was pretty raunchy but they loved it (she's a real church goin' gal!) She also said they cut a LOT but they did a good job of it because she had a hard time remembering what was cut but the show was under 2 hours by a fair amount. Marianne
